What is Basic Editing?

All photos go through a batch editing process that ensure that the images taken from your event are natural and accurately reflects the natural state in which the image was taken. If your event is dark, the images may have a slight increase of brightness in order to be included in your presentation portfolio. Some photos may be color treated to be warmer or cooler. Images are finally quality checked and sent to the client.

What is Advanced Editing (Enhancements)?

Our enhancements are our advanced editing service. The level of detail that we perform when enhancing a photo provides much more than a basic edit and truly makes the images stand out from the rest of your great images. Enhancements involve reviewing the fine details of an image and performing an in-depth process to ensure it's truly a signature image. NEED TO PUT A LINK TO EXAMPLES OF ENHANCEMENTS.

When will I receive my images?

Image portfolios normally range between 14 - 30 days with 45 days for video projects included. Our current average turnaround time is 2 weeks for a 6 hour event.

How does the album design process work and how long will it take?

After you receive photos from your event, the client shall review and submit photos on our Book Order Form for your photo album. Instructions on how to submit are included on the form and provides us with all the information to provide a draft with 7 days of submitting. Videography Questions

How many images can I place into my PhotoBook?

16 Page FlushMount LayFlat PhotoBook (Our Standard) - 50 images Max - Design Fees included

AFTER 16 pages, you are able to submit up to 25 images per 10 page bundle. Design fees for additional pages shall apply at $9 per slide.

What are your design fees for photo albums?

Design Fees are $9 per slide and cover the cost of labor required to produce the design of each page.

Can you tell us more about your videography/cinematography services?

We are not a traditional videography service. Our cinematographers are top rated in the industry and make movies. While truly not your uncles video, we provide a custom highlight video masterpiece that you can share immediately through facebook, vimeo or youtube. We deliver highlight videos via the web, USB or DVD Video Disk. Check out our video work!

You guys do a lot of weddings, how do you keep track of everything?

We create an "online portal" for EVERY client that we work with. Within the online portfolio, you have 24/7 access to all schedules, budgets, and professionals servicing your event. Ensuring that lines of communication are open, you are guaranteed to have complete understanding of upcoming deadlines.Please see Our Process.

Can you tell me a little bit about your non-profit?

ArtsGroup Photo is a division of ArtsGroup Inc. We use our media service as fundraisers for our Arts Education Program operating in KIPP Charter School in Washington DC. We provide Arts instruction to kids grades 5th through 8th. Proceeds received from photography and other assignments provide payment for Arts instructors, equipment such as cameras & computers and field trips for our classes. Engagement Sessions Questions

How early should I book my photographer for my event?

You should book with us at least 9 months in advance. Booking your photographer earliest as possible ensures that we can provide maximum support for your special event. Our inclusive services include Photography, Videography, Beauty Consultation, Disk Jockey services, Entertainment, and the Arts. We are here to assist you along the way with the many resources we have. The custom services we provide are in demand and booking early not only ensures you have us for your event but also ensures that all the proper resources are correctly aligned for you!

Oh cool! Only $200 to book and reserve a date? So, when do I have to pay for my event? How does that work?

50% of your package cost is due 90 days in advance of your wedding date. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your event. We receive payments throughout the year from multiple clients and most clients have a zero balance on their special event day.

What is your company's approach to shooting events?

Our approach is normally unscripted. However, close to 90 percent of your wedding images will be captured in candid-form while posed shots are usually reserved for your group formal pictures. We receive shot lists all the time so that is also an option if you have specific shooting request for your day. As wedding photographers, we rarely stage additional lighting but in upon review of each event, we can make a determination if additional lighting will be needed.

Is your non-profit on file with the Internal Revenue Service?

What type of photography do you specialize in?

ArtsGroup specializes in Wedding and Event photography. Our staff is super diverse and occasionally cover assignments ranging from black and white to landscape photography.


Payment Questions

What do you charge for destination weddings?

We provide a custom package for destination events both nationally and internationally. Based on your requirements, we'll craft a custom package that sure to fit your needs as well provide an additional experience of having a personal concierge for the duration of your destination event.

Will you be the actual photographer to shoot our wedding? If not, who?

Unless discussed during your consultation, our Director of Photography or a Certified Lead Photographer will shoot your event. Our collaboration workspaces provide detailed introductions of all of our staff as well as links to full portfolios by each photographer.

What kind of input can we have on the shots? i.e. subject matter, shot lists and ideas from other wedding shots we liked?

We create a task for each client to provide a timeline and shot list 10 days prior to their event date. This allows us to ask any questions necessary and also gives us an opportunity to understand your request clearly so that we can perform.

How will my pictures delivered?

ArtsGroup has a variety of methods for image delivery to include instant online download, CD/DVD as well as USB Flash Drive.

Non-Profit Questions

Do you have liability insurance?

Chances are slim you will ever have to worry about this. Enough venues out there require a certificate of insurance for a photographer to work an event at their venue it is worth asking. More importantly, a photographer who will produce a professional standard for you operates their business with professional standards focused on the long-term viability of their business.

What is the delivery time for your products

It really shouldn’t take half a year to receive an album, your proofs or any other products. A caveat: although it is not always possible, try to be timely with any input your photographer requires as far as albums, edits to help this process along.

With the albums, how does the design and picture selection process work? Are there any fees for changes we would like prior to the album’s production?

You should have some input into important keepsakes of your wedding. Some photographers charge extra for a certain number of changes to the albums they design for you prior to the printing and binding of any album. Beware of time deadlines too, they are necessary to preventing production bottlenecks.

With the albums, how does the design and picture selection process work? Are there any fees for changes we would like prior to the album’s production?

How many photographers come with your packages?

All packages listed include 1 photographer. Additional photographers are available by request. An additional photographer is recommended for all assignments6 hours and over or events with high guest count. Remember, that all packages are base andcan be less or more based on your requirement. An assessment will be provided to you during your initial consultation and is based onyour expectationsand wishes.

What is a Graphic Creation?

We provide an in-depth enhancement process that involves us applying extensive edits to your single image such as skin re-touching, HDR, masking, color toning, adding glows and blurs to give that signature image the magazine treatment.  All of the photos we provide you will be outstanding, however, there will be some that will be considered your signature pictures and will simply stand up and demand attention. Signature pictures are images that you would consider creating large prints for to display in your home or images you'd love to share with family and friends.  We specialize in making that perfect picture into a signature work of art.
